Edward D. Silva Jr. grew up in Hayward,California. He was the son of Edward Sr.& Nancy Silva, the brother of Wendy Silva and the father of Matthew Silva.

Ed loved motorcycles and the era of the 1950's. Since his father and mother were teenagers in the 1950's and Ed grew up hearing stories of, cruisin' , car clubs, and Rock 'N' Roll , he naturally adopted a love for that same time period. Ed mentioned having two favorite "Oldies" : "Life Is But A Dream", by The Harptones and "Sincerely", by The Moonglows.

Ed was witty and quick when he wanted to be. He was also very confident and didn't seem to have a shy streak of any kind. If he wanted something, he usually got it and if he didn't like something, he normally just said it. It was just how he was and through it all, he was always very likeable. If he had something, like some little gadget or something, and he knew that you liked it, he'd eventually walk right up one day, out of the blue, and just give it to you.

Ed often spoke of his son , Matthew, as well as, his sister, Wendy.

Ed never married, he considered himself a Christian, and he resided with his parents at the time of his passing. Sadly, Ed was only 38 years of age. He will be missed by all that knew him.
