Jaron Kendrick Rawls, 19, died Thursday, December 28, 2017 at University Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2017 at Crosssgates Baptist Church with interment following at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Jaron was born on August 10, 1998 in Flowood, the son of Peyton and Angie Rawls. He graduated from Pearl High School in 2016 where he played striker for the Pearl High School soccer team and sang in the choir, chamber singers and quartet. After graduation, Jaron continued his education at Holmes Community College. He worked part time at Buffalo Wild Wings and McLaurin Heights Baptist Church. Jaron enjoyed cheering for the Dallas Cowboys with his father and playing PS4 FIFA with his friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James Floyd Rawls, Joseph Winslow Kendrick and Lucille Halbert Kendrick.

Survivors include: his parents, Angie and Peyton Rawls of Pearl and sister, Melody Alayna Rawls all of Pearl. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Rev. Don and Margaret Womble of Moss Point as well many other loving family and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Blair E. Batson Children's Research Hospital, 2500 N State St, Jackson, MS 39216.
