He was born on October 10, 1943 in Cordele, GA., to the late Troy and Lela Abbott. Mr. Abbott worked in the sales industry at West Bend Inc. and was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Lela Abbott.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Marie Abbott of Temple, GA., sons; Terry Abbott of Hiram, GA., Greg Abbott and daughters Lisa Dent of Temple. Angie McConnell of Woodstock, Tracey Johnson of Temple, Carol Peters of Dallas, GA., brothers; Truett Abbott of Augusta, Roy Abbott and Carroll Abbott of Cochran, GA., Clark Abbott of Carrollton, sister, Delores Church of Cochran, GA. and extended family.
