Pembroke-Miss Laura Camille Cobb age 17, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was a native of Pembroke and a junior at Bryan County High School. She enjoyed horseback riding, loved animals, liked to fish, and enjoyed being around children. Laura was a member of the Bryan County High School Track Team, who excelled at long distance running and hurdles and was employed by Creekside Grill at Black Creek Golf Course. She is predeceased by her grandmother Wynell Cobb, two great-grandmothers Winnie Hughes and Pearl Vangiller. Survivors include her mother and step-father Rhonda and John Higgins of Pembroke; father and step-mother Steven and Dawn Cobb of Pembroke; two brothers Tyson Young and J.C. Cobb; one sister Heather Harper; maternal grandparents Roy and Terry Vangiller of Pembroke; paternal grandfather Jerry Cobb of Pembroke; great-grandfather Johnnie Cobb; aunts Rachel Vangiller and Crystle Vangiller; uncle Jack Vangiller; cousins Damien Vangiller, Maria White, and Jesse Vangiller; and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held from 5-9 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial service will be 11 A.M. Monday at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Hicks and Rev. Rachel Vangiller officiating.
