John M. Jack, 87, of Zanesville, died at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born August 1, 1919 in Zanesville, a son of the late David C. And Cora Ackerman Jack. Jack was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church. He was the first Senior Citizen Co-Ordinator for Muskingum Co., was a 50 year member of Lafayette Lodge # 79 F&AM, Zavi Shrine, Aladdin Shrine, Muskingum Co. Association of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. Jack was an avid golfer and card player who enjoyed playing Euchre, Bridge and Poker.Surviving are a son, Jeff(Vicki)Jack of Zanesville, five grandchildren; Jeff H. Jack, Julie A. Jack-Graham, John R. Jack, Doug R. Jack and Jason R.(Lisa)Shigley, eight great grandchildren; Kayla Graham, Dylon Graham, Billy Jack, Jared Jack, Jason Shigley, Amber Shigley, Jennifer Shigley and Sam Shigley, a step brother, David(Eileen)Jack of Wadsworth. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Jack, who died February 7, 2001 and two brothers; Carl and Harry Jack and a sister, Hilda Shrigley.
