Mrs. DeMarco was the widow of Earmond James DeMarco Sr., who died in 1992. They had lived in the home Mr. DeMarco built since 1956.
She was born in Boswell, PA and was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Bunke Pluta. Mrs. DeMarco worked for 11 years at the former Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton and later as a cafeteria aide at Hopewell Crest School.
A longtime member of The Parish of the Holy Cross / St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, she crocheted for many years, making blankets and afghans for many family members and friends. She enjoyed cooking, bowling and going to the casinos. She also was a cat lover.
She will be remembered by her family as a “Good Mom” and a “Good Housekeeper.”
She is survived by one son, Earmond James DeMarco Jr. (Elizabeth “Dee”) of Monroeville, two daughters, Rosemarie Everett (Terry) of N. Chesterfield, VA and Patricia A. Fralinger (Robert III) of Bridgeton, five grandchildren, Mechelle Fralinger (Thomas), Robyn Schramm (Pete), T.W. Everett (Shannon) and Christopher Fisher and Andrew Fralinger and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. DeMarco was the last surviving of 17 children and was also predeceased by a grandson, Frank.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy at The Parish of the Holy Cross / St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, 46 Central Ave., Bridgeton on Saturday morning December 2nd at 11 o’clock.
The interment will follow at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton.
Friends will be received at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton Friday evening from 7 until 9 and again at the church Saturday morning from 10 until 11.
