Wayne B. Chapman, 72, of Green Forest passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012.

He was born in Salamanca, NY on April 26, 1939 to the late Burnett and Ruby (Stone) Chapman.

He was a 1957 graduate of Ellicottville High School in New York.

Wayne proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961.
Wayne B. Chapman, 72, of Green Forest passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012. He was born in Salamanca, NY on April 26, 1939 to the late Burnett and Ruby (Stone) Chapman.

He was a 1957 graduate of Ellicottville High School in New York. Wayne proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961. On January 13, 1962 he was united in marriage with Elisha Kimball and to this union 4 children were born. They moved their family from New York to Carroll Country in 1977. Before his retirement Wayne was employed as a salesman at Kimes Auto Supply in Berryville. He not only was as expert auto mechanic but was also talented in building and repairing everything. His family could always rely on him to "fix-it". He will also be remembered for his quick wit, lively sense of humor and being a model family man. He had been an avid CB operator and enjoyed being around people.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Elisha Chapman and brotherâ€"in-law, Gale Schuppenhauer of the home,daughters; Theresa Wallace and Dan of Green Forest, Heather Webb and Mitch of Berryville, sons; Eric Chapman and Alesia of Green Forest, Michael Chapman and Holly of Green Forest, grandsons; Spencer Eric Levi Chapman, Nniqulas Wayne Chapman, Christopher Michael Chapman and Johnathan Michael Chapman, granddaughter, Abbigail Nicole Chapman, brother, Dwight Chapman and wife Virginia and their children of Campbell, NY and sister-in-law, Zory Kimball and children of Kissimmee, FL.

A memorial service honoring this life well-lived will be at 6:00 PM Friday, January 20, 2012 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest.
