Dewayne C. Allen, 76 passed from this life at his home on October 21, 2017. Dewayne was born in a logging camp on July 15, 1941, to Troy Lee and Tiny V. (Wright) Allen in Honobia, OK. Dewayne married Juanita Bruce in Nashoba and they were married 56 years before her passing in 2014. He was an entrepreneur. Dewayne owned used car lots, the Kiamichi Shopper, had an ostrich ranch and was even a judge for Harris County, TX. He was from the old school era, found many ways to be able to provide for his family. Dewayne believed in God, church and his family. He was a longtime member of the Nolia Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dewayne loved seafood so much, that at one time he even bought a shrimp boat to go deep sea fishing around Galveston. He was always known to be able to sell anything. Dewayne truly will be missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife: Juanita Allen; parents: Troy Lee and Tiny V. Allen; sister: Billie Sue Scarberry and one grandson: Daniel Lee Watkins. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at the Nolia Assembly of God Church with Pastors Conley Wright and Larry Miller officiating. Burial followed at Nolia Cemetery.
