Windol was born to his parents, John and Elizabeth Priddy Adams on Sept. 10, 1931 in Spring Hill. He and his parents moved to Fort Worth in the mid-1940's. Windol graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1950. He received a draft letter from the Army and was sent to Seoul, Korea during the Korean War. After his time in Korea, Windol returned home to his wife, Pauline Adams. He got a job with the U.S. Corps of Engineers where he worked for almost 40 years and retired in 1990. He enjoyed sports, working in his yard and reading.
Survivors: Daughter, Paula Adams; son, Russell Adams; granddaughter, Kendall Townsend; grandson, Joshua Adams and wife, Brianne; great-granddaughter, Madison Townsend; and many cousins.
