Memorial services for G. Joann Allen, 64, McPherson, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, McPherson. Private burial will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Allen died Thursday, June 11, 1998, at Memorial Hospital of McPherson.

She was born Jan. 29, 1934, in Winnsboro, Tex., the daughter of Olin and Bertha Russom Ayers. She was a homemaker, and also worked in the distribution department of the McPherson Sentinel before working as an office manager for Kansas Green Thumb, McPherson.

She was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church, McPherson.

She married the Rev. Allan R. Madden on Aug. 9, 1952, in Galveston, Tex. She later married Rhett Allen on May 13, 1988, in Council Grove. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, A. Robert Madden II, Broken Arrow, Okla., and John Madden, McPherson; a daughter, Anne Madden, Lawrence; three sisters, Bettye Johns, Leesburg, Tex., Loretta Field, Boerne, Tex., and Nell Whittington, Arcadia, Tex.; and a grandchild.
