Johnny Louis Jackson was born June 16, 1945, in Mc Gregor, Texas. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and became a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Johnny attended George Washington Carver High School and later joined the United States Navy at the age of 17 and served 4 years.

After his service, Johnny married Billie Albert in Los Angeles, California on February 5, 1967 and to that union God blessed them with two children, Andrea Rané and Johnny Jr.

In his lifetime, he worked as a store manager in Los Angeles and later moved to Las Vegas where he was employed as slot floor supervisor at the Holiday Casino for 12 years and at Bally's Hotel and Casino for the last 22 years of his career from which he retired in 2006. After retirement he relocated to Mc Gregor for nine years to help care for his mother. After the death of his mother, he returned to Las Vegas in June 2016. Upon his illness, he went to Lakewood, California where he could seek treatment and be cared for by his children. Throughout his life, he had a love and passion for music. He played guitar and keyboard and sang beautifully.

On October 14, 2017 at 1:20am, Johnny went home to be with the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his father Aaron Jackson (November 6, 1987), mother LuCretia Jackson (September 24, 2015), and his brother Wilfred Nolan Jackson (April 25, 2017).

He leaves to mourn his death two sisters: Virginia Jackson, MC Gregor, TX, Yvonne Reneé Dodson and husband, Larry Dodson of Las Vegas, NV and brother Thommye E. Jackson and wife Coletta Jackson of Mount Vernon, WA, daughter, Andrea R. Ealey and husband Pastor Michael J. Ealey of Lakewood, CA, son Johnny L. Jackson, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, three grandsons: Shane Hardy, Quinn Hardy of Lakewood, CA and Jaylan Jackson of Los Angeles, and extended family consisting of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and loved ones.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 1st, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor with Dr. Virginia Jackson and Pastor Michael J. Ealey officiating. Interment will follow in McGregor Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 31st, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Amon Rogers, Arren Dodson, Shane Hardy, Quinn Hardy, Johnny Jackson, Jr. and Ben Hughes, II; Honorary Pallbearers: Harold Sullivan, Larry Dodson, Thommye E, Jackson, and Pastor Michael Ealey.
