Private Harry Bennett, 1st Battalion Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, B-Company, 11 Platoon. Born in October 1919 in Wargrave, Berkshire and died of wounds on the 23rd of October 1944.


Harry got wounded in action during Operation Alan, the liberation of 's-Hertogenbosch. He died in a military hospital in Grave at the Generaal de Bonskazerne and was initially buried there.


Harry came from Wargrave and was the son of Maud and Harry Bennett. He is mentioned in the "Roll of honour of Wargrave".
