Joel Dan Lott, age 70, of Homer, Michigan passed from this life October 5, 2017. Joel was born in Valdosta, Georgia to Hoyt Thomas Lott and Doris Maxine Coody Lott. Joel married Mary Beyers in 1992, they had 6 children between the two of them. Joel's passions were drag racing, fishing and spending time with family.

Joel is survived by his beloved wife Mary, his mother Doris (Coody) Lott, children -

Linda Barnard, Mandy (Mike) LaForce,

Mike (Angie) Bidwell, Debbie (David) DiVirgilio, Doug (Nichole) Parrish, and Tyna Noble; grandchildren - David, Megan, Kristin, Brittany, Brianne, Jordan, Autumn, Austin, and Madison;

his brothers - Harold Thomas (Jeanette) Lott,

David J (Leiann) Lott, and Allen G Lott; and his twin sister Jewell Bright. Joel is preceeded in death by his father, Hoyt Lott, his Sister Ruth (Pete) Petrey, Sister Linda (John) Suffield and Grandson Dylan Smith.


Full military honors will be presented at the

Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, at a later date.

(A celebration of Joel's life took place on November 24).
