Arthur Monroe Brown of Cuba, MO formerly of Troy, IL was born on Thursday, May 14, 1942 in Anna, IL to the late Arthur Monroe Brown Sr. and Melva Lorene Rader Brown. He passed away at his home in Cuba, MO Friday, July 18, 2008, at the age of 66 years, 2 months, and 4 days.

Arthur married Marjorie "Juanita" Harris on May 16, 1961 in East St. Louis, IL and to this union 4 children were born. Arthur accepted the Lord many years ago and attended the Delhi Baptist Church in Cuba, MO. He worked as a car inspector for Union Pacific Railroad in Illinois before retiring and moving to Cuba, MO seven years ago. Arthur was a member of the Railroad Union and active in the Missouri Campers on Mission. His hobbies were woodworking, golf, watching sports, and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters-in-law Bonnie Brown and Sandy Busiek, and brother-in-law Stanley Haney.

He is survived by his loving wife Juanita Brown of the home in Cuba, MO; his children Stephen (Kerri) Brown of Richmond,IN, David (Muriel) Brown of Cape Cod, MA, Jamie (Wayne) Estep of Troy, IL, and Susan (Eric) Boyer of Carlyle, IL.; brothers Robert (Mary) Brown of Caseyville, IL and Dale Brown of Collinsville, IL; sisters Grace (Bud) Grider of Fairview Heights, IL and Monene Haney of Florissant, MO; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Sam (Judy) Harris of New London, MO, Michael (Ruth) Harris of California, Terry Harris of Troy, MO, Shirley (Hugh) Gilbert of Waterloo, IL, Debbie Donivan of Advance, MO, Barbara Lynn Wilkinson of Jefferson City, MO and Robert Busiek of St. Louis, MO; 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Funeral service was Wednesday July 23, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St. in Fairview Heights, IL under the care of Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, MO with Bro. Charles Ledbetter officiating. Musicial selections by Everett Roiger and Becky Scharfenberg are Amazing Grace, Just As I Am, and How Great Thou Art. Those serving as Pallbearers were Stephen and David Brown, Jeremiah McAley, Wayne, Christopher, Michael, and Joshua Estep.
