Hawley - Laurence A. Atkins, 77, of Middle Road, West Hawley, life-long resident and retired farmer, died Thursday in Franklin County Public Hospital, Greenfield. He leaves three sons, Carlos of West Hawley, Francis W. of Rohnert Park, Calif. and Richard Flynn of Vernon, Vt.; two daughters Mrs Audrey Milton of West Hawley and Mrs Betty Davis of Monroe, Conn.; a brother Everett F. of Springfield; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at Smith Kelleher funeral home, Shelburne Falls, with burial in Puddin Hollow Cemetery. Donations may be made to the heart fund.
