Alice Faye Melgaard Beville, 78 of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the Lake City Medical Center. She was born in Fort Myers, Florida, the oldest of four children to late Homer Quinten Melgaard, Jr. and Mable Raye Green Melgaard. Mrs. Beville was raised in Cross City, Florida and was a graduate of Dixie County High School class of 1963 where she was a majorette and member of the Dixie County High School Band. She and her family lived in Gainesville for many years before making Lake City their home in 1981. She was a Christian by faith and loved spending time with her family. Her hobbies included quilting, card making, reading books, baking bread and Christmas cookies and going to the beach. She was also a Florida Gators fan, a Beach Boys fan and an avid racing fan. Mrs. Beville loved NASCAR, dirt track racing and go kart racing and had previously worked for the World Karting Association. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 42 years, John David Beville, Sr in 2009.

Survivors include her son, John D. "Bubba" Beville, Jr. (Traci), Lake City; three daughters, Andrea Lawrence (Ronnie) Colorado Springs, CO, Amy Sweet (Paul), Lake City and Robyn Taylor (Merle), Lake City; two brothers, Homer Quinten "Buddy" Melgaard, III (Donna), Madison and Robert Thomas "Tommy" Melgaard (Yvonne), Lake City; one sister, Sabra Lindsey, Trenton; nine grandchildren, Danielle Ann Poole (Greg), Ashley Beville Douylliez, Loren Sweet (Aaron Rittmayer), Brooke Taylor (Walt Pritchard), Hunter Sweet (Sydney Newberry), Johnathan Beville, Jordan Roberts (Jessie Harshbarger), Trace Beville and Lane Beville; three great grandchildren, Emmett Douylliez, Amelia Faye Poole and Hunter Douylliez; and her beloved dog "Bandit"; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Christian Heritage in Lake City. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
