Adrian was a commercial fisherman from Anchorage, Alaska. He was among those killed in the shooting rampage at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on the Las Vegas Strip.

Adrian Murfitt, born July 5, 1982, passed away at the age of 35 as a result of injuries received while attending the Route 91 country music festival in Las Vegas, Nev. He loved going to this annual event after spending his summers fishing.
Adrian was a lifelong Alaskan. He graduated from Dimond High School. While he was still in school, he was an avid hockey player and skated as a defenseman on the Dimond High hockey team and on the North Star competitive hockey team.
After high school, he started commercial fishing and has been fishing the summer seasons in Bristol Bay and Chignik off and on since that time. He spent the rest of his time working as a car mechanic and working on refrigeration units. He had a passion for rebuilding a 1970 Camaro that he bought while he was in high school, which he did in his spare time.
Adrian was an outdoor enthusiast and loved camping and hiking. Along his path in life, Adrian made many friends, and each one of them was special to him in a "best friend" sort of way.
Adrian will be forever loved and remembered by his proud mother, Avonna Murfitt; his sister, Shannon Gothard; his brothers, Rob Murfitt and Aaron Murfitt; his nephews, Sutton Gothard and Quaid Gothard; his former companion of nine years, Christina Hoglin; his aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his many best friends.
Adrian was preceded in death by his father, Allan Murfitt.
A celebration of Adrian's life has been planned for Oct. 21, 2017, at 6:00 p.m., at the Anchorage Hilton Hotel in the Alaska Ballroom. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Dimond High School Hockey Booster Club.
The family wants to thank everyone in the Alaska community, the Las Vegas community, and nationwide for the heartwarming support they have received over Adrian's untimely passing.
