Joyce Metts Campbell, 74, of Pineville, SC, former co-owner and operator of Thornhill's Fish Camp, died Monday morning at her residence.

Her funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday afternoon, September 16, 2017, in the Belle Isle Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, directed by DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Saturday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Semper Fi Fund, 825 College Blvd., Ste. 102, PMB 609 Oceanside, CA 92057, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Mrs. Campbell was born January 8, 1943, in Moncks Corner, SC, a daughter of Charlie Metts and Stella Barnette Metts Butler. She was a member of the Belle Isle Presbyterian Church and a former employee of Charleston Manufacturing Company, the St. Stephen IGA, and Georgia Pacific. Mrs. Campbell enjoyed reading, playing solitaire, cooking, and listening to Elvis and Conway Twitty, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children, Marvin Martin and Stella Lynn Lewis; two grandchildren, Jason Dale Sanders and Noah Campbell Edens; and two brothers, Charles "Bubby" Metts and Keith Belk.

Surviving are, her husband, Marvin L. Campbell; her mother of North Charleston; three daughters, Lisa Campbell of Ozark, AK, Fawn "Cindy" Campbell of Pineville, and Tina Marie Tew of Moncks Corner; four sons, Randall Lewis of Moncks Corner, Michael Campbell of Pineville, David "Rocky" Gibbs of Jamestown, and Robert Higgins of Ware Shoals, SC; a sister, Pam Clancy of Orlando, FL; twenty grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
