He was a veteran of the Navy in the WWII serving from January 26, 1944 to January 14, 1946 in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater
Walter worked as a Electrician for Purdue University for 42 years retiring in February 1, 1988.
Surviving are one niece; one nephew; and three great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Walter was predeceased by seven sisters.
