JACKSONVILLE, NC - Vincenzo Francisco Rolla, Sgt. Maj., USMC Retired, 81 passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017, at 11:00 am at Jones Funeral Home Chapel, Jacksonville. Dr. Eric Jones will be officiating and the entombment will follow at Onslow Memorial Park with Military Honors. Mr. Rolla was born in Buccino, Italy and was the son of the late Luigi and Concetta Rolla D'Amato. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mallie Locklear Rolla, one sister, Angelina Cox and one granddaughter. He served his country honorably for 28 + years with United States Marine Corps and retired with the rank of Sergeant Major. He is survived by one son, Randy Rolla and his wife, Roashel of Greenville, NC; one daughter, Shirleen Spaulding and her husband, Charles of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Pietro Rolla of Italy, one sister, Geraldine Patchett of Arizona and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home and other times at the home.
