Karen was also a former resident of Pittsburgh, PA and Plymouth, Michigan. Karen was a homemaker who loved history, genealogy, golf, camping, gardening, and Penn State football. She was a nursing student at Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA. Karen was a member of the Woman's Club of Warren, the Conewango Valley Country Club, Meadowbrook Country Club, the Warren Shakespeare Club, Grace United Methodist Church, and the Red Hat Society. Karen was also an active volunteer and supporter of the Warren County Historical Society and Warren's Library Theatre.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews and many cousins.

I met Karen on line when she lived in Michigan and we both were researching our ancestry. Then later when I visited Pennsylvania, shortly after she & David moved back there. I was there on a genealogy trip. My great great grandmother and her great grandmother were sisters. We toured the cemeteries where our Affentranger and Affantranger ancestors were buried and had a great time sharing information and talking about the "family". I was so glad to have met her.
