Edith Calloway Pittman Blair, 84, passed away on Friday morning, September 8, 2017, while at Hospice Home of High Point. She was born in Forsyth County on November 5, 1932, to the late Marvin S. and Pansy Jarvis Calloway.
A member of Fairgrove United Methodist Church, she spent her life as a homemaker and a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Leroy H. Pittman, and second husband, J. Herbert Blair.
Surviving to cherish her memory are daughters, Dawn B. Sanders (Michael) of High Point, and Joy B. Frazer (Jesse) of Greensboro; step-daughter, Cathy Cline (Marty) of High Point; sisters, Nancy Manning and Sylvia Long; brothers, Marvin Calloway and Jim Calloway; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017, at Fairgrove United Methodist Church in Thomasville with Rev. Jesse Frazer, Rev. Nathan Snider, and Jane Baity officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Floral Gardens Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Wallburg, 10301 N. NC Hwy 109, Winston-Salem.
