He was a retired employee of General Electric, where he worked for 34 years, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of Buechel Park Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
His body was donated to the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Monday at Highlands. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Louisville or to his church.
