Kaitlyn E. Ohnesorge, age 8, of Dubuque, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at U of I Children's Hospitals & Clinics as the results of a bicycle accident.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Friday, August 18, 2017 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home and Cremation Service (Chapel Adjacent to funeral home).
Visitation will be 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3860 Asbury Rd.
Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens.
Kaitlyn was born August 19, 2009 in Dubuque, the daughter of Abe and Kat (Schaffer) Ohnesorge.
She was looking forward to starting 3rd grade at Sageville Grade School.
Kaitlyn loved playing outside, her Shopkins, Monster High, and riding her bike. She had mastered her one-handed cart wheel, never afraid of anything and had a bubbly and spunky personality. Kaitlyn was a little firecracker who also loved swimming, picking flowers and her favorite fairy "Wisp". She sucked her left thumb, and always had her constant companion "her blankie" with her. Kaitlyn loved her family and playing with her sister.
Survivors include her parents; siblings; grandparents; aunts and uncles; great-paternal grandmother; and numerous other relatives.
Kaitlyn was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal great-grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Kaitlyn's memory.
