Sammy McDonald Ash, 77, of Belle, WV was a retired truck driver having worked for Smith Transfer and Yellow Freight Trucking Companies and was a Marine veteran. He was a member of Judson Baptist Church and Teamsters Local Union #175. Sam was the M.W. Past Grand Master of the State of West Virginia, Worshipful Master of Chelyan Lodge #158, DDGM of the 9th Masonic District, a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Grand Representative to the Grand Lodge of Switzerland. He was a member of the York Rite Chapter #47, Kanawha Commandery #4, Red Cross of Constantine, York Rite College #137, Beni Kedem Shrine and the Chelyan Chapter #101 Order of the Eastern Star. Preceding him in death were his parents, Carl Herbert and Eva Byrd Ash; brothers, Raymond, Danny and Russell Ash; and sisters, Loretta Canish and Geneva Ash. Surviving are his wife, Joyce 'Daisy' Ash; two sons, a daughter, a brother, and three sisters.
