Hermon - William Rudolph Nowell passed away peacefully at EMMC on Aug. 5, 2017, at the age of 86. William was born in Hermon, on Aug. 29, 1930, the son of Lemuel and Lucy Nowell. He was a carpenter for many years, and retired at the age of 80. William is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lurine, his niece Stella Schmaltz of Hermon and her family, his sister-in-law Thelma White and her family, his sister-in-law Glenice Woodman of Skowhegan and family, his brother-in-law Harold and wife Linda of Passadumkeag, and his brother-in-law Mike and wife Shirley of Glenburn. William was predeceased by his parents, his sister Ida Grace, and brother-in-law Earl Corson Jr. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hermon. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to their favorite charity.
