OSCAR CURTIS ADAMS, age 57 of Wilmington, NC unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2017. He was born July 17, 1959 in Wilmington.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Capps Adams; sister, Georgene Adams Champion; neices, Ashley Sue Champion and Christine Rebecca Champion; and brother in law, Richard Davis Walk.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years Ann Riola; daughter, Amber Dawn Adams; daughter, Mandi Adams Smith and husband Derek; father, George Joseph Adams; sister, Margaret Sue "Cindy" Adams and husband Mike Aldridge; sister, Patricia Ann Walk; and neice, Tammy Adams Thomas and husband Robert.

Curtis loved the ocean and was happiest when he was out fishing. He could be seen with a permanent smile on his face while floating across the water. He was an amazing artist and talented welder. He also loved working in the yard and spent countless hours outside. His laugh was infectious and he was always willing to lend a hand, whether it be to a family member or a friend in need. A private family memorial will be held in his honor.
