MRS. LILY AHWASH, 69, of 1581 Quarrier St., died this morning in Charleston General Hospital after an extended illness.
She was a member of St. George's Syrian Orthodox Church, and was president of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She also was a member of the Syrian-American Charitable Ladies Society.
Surviving: daughter, Mrs. Nellie Asseff of Charleston; sons, Mike J. Costinteen and Eddie Ahwash of Charleston and Kamal Ahwash of Winchester, Pa.; and brother, David Solomon of Brooklyn, NY.
Service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the St. George's church by the Rev. Father Gerasimas Murphy. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in South Charleston.
Friends may call at the Bartlett-Burdette Funeral Home after 6 p.m. today.
