Shirley (Rose) Chaponot passed away April 30, 2007, from complications of emphysema. She is survived by her 2 children, Mark Chaponot of Webster and Michelle Schaefer of Maryland; one brother, William Rose in Texas; four grandchildren, Ashby, Zachary, Matthew Chaponot and Madeleine Schaefer.
Shirley was born June 12, 1935, the daughter of Ernest W. and Alice H. (Lucier) Rose and lived most of her life in South Grafton. She was an executive secretary at Worcester Memorial Hospital. Shirley enjoyed going to the beaches and shores of Rhode Island.
At her request Shirley was cremated and her ashes scattered over the ocean in Rhode Island. Her name was added to her parents' headstone at Fairview Cemetery.
