John L. Miller of Larksville passed away Friday, July 14, 2017, at home, after a lengthy illness.

John was the son of the late Jacob F. and Isabelle Miller Sr. from West Pittston. He will be forever missed and loved by his wife, Hilda Delint Miller and his daughters, Laura and her husband, Keivan Sanai, California; Joyce Miller, Florida; and Paloma Zuniga Delint, Mexico City.

Besides his parents, John was proceeded in death by a brother, Herbert L. Rosengrant, in 2009.

He is also survived by brothers, Graham T. Miller, Pittston; and Jacob F. Miller Jr., Florida. John's surviving sisters include, Saundra Pineno, Florida, Janice Wylam, Duryea, and Janet Quick, Swoyersville. John will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and his two grandchildren, Cyrus and Darius, California.

John retired from Offset Paperback in Dallas a few years ago as a book tech.

Previously, he worked for several years as a warper at Liberty Throwing Co. in Kingston.

John was proud to serve his country for several years as a U.S. Marine during the Vietnam war era.

At this time, the family would like to thank Celtic Hospice for their help in caring for John, and Stanley S. Stegura Funeral Home in Nanticoke for handling the arrangements. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
