Jennie D. Landon, age 76, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, formerly of Fayetteville, died Saturday, October 24, 1936 in Siloam Springs.

She was born May 15, 1860 in Harlan, Kentucky, the daughter of Leonard and Nancy Frances (Jones) Farmer.

She was first married to Silas Woodson Begley on October 8, 1877 in Bell County, Kentucky. They had four children, John P., Stephen Daniel, William P., and Laura A. Begley. Silas died in 1887.

She and Robert Young Landron were married in 1888. They had five children, Cynthia Belle, Charley Clark, Earnest, Reuby Mae, and Mary Vivian Landron.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Silas; two sons, Charley Landron, and Earnest Landron; and daughter, Vivian Landron.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Robert of the home; a son, Stephen David Begley of Kentucky; two daughters, Cynthia Belle (James) Baxter of Texarkana, Texas, and Reuby May Hammett of Holdenville, Oklahoma; a brother, Speed Jones Farmer of Bentonville, Arkansas; two sisters, Rosa Grace (J.D.) Rowland of Corbin, Kentucky, and Sarah J. (John S.) Hendrickson of Pineville, Kentucky; and eight grandchildren.

Burial is in Combs Chapel Cemetery southeast of Fayetteville.

Jennie's first husband, Silas was killed by an angry father for slapping his son after the boy had pointed a toy gun at him and snapped the trigger. Jennie was then a 27 year old widow with four small children.

Jennie and her family were listed in the 1981 reading of the cemetery. There is a large Family stone inside a fenced enclosure in the center of the cemetery, and a smal flat individual stone for her.
