Arnold J. Egan, 82, of Cape Coral died February 25, 2007. Arnold was born in Laconia, NH, he was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre, he was a member of the Navy Reserve for 42 years retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. Arnold graduated with a Masters degree in engineering from M.I.T., he worked for G.E. and for Sanders Associates as a program manager in their F A A R program, he retired from there in 1987. He moved to the local area from Salem, NH in 1984, he worked for Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home for many years before "retiring" due to ill health. He was a 4th degree member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. Mr. Egan is survived by his three sons Ronald (Vicki) Egan of Gilford, NH, Arnold Jr. (Maryan) Egan of Cape Coral, John Egan of Derry, NH, his four daughters Gail Collins of Cape Coral, Janet Cyr of Port Charlotte, Darlene (Ronald) Paradise of Salem, NH, Marjorie (John) Levesque of Cape Coral, 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life will be conducted in St. Andrew Catholic Church.
