Dr. Gary C. Craft, 77, of Craft Road, Athens, Mercer County, West Virginia, died early Thursday morning, June 29, 2017, at his home with his beloved wife by his side.

Born March 12, 1940 at East Liverpool, Columbiana County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Clifton Craft and Garnett Judd Craft.

Dr. Craft was a graduate of Ranger High School in Lincoln County, West Virginia. He went on to graduate from Marshall University and earned his M.D. from West Virginia University School of Medicine.

Dr. Craft practiced medicine for many years in Man, West Virginia. In 1981, he moved to the Princeton area and established the Craft Medical Corporation on the Eads Mill Road near Princeton.

Dr. Craft loved practicing medicine, especially his patients. Dr. Craft enjoyed his farm, working his orchard, gardening, taking walks in the woods and reading.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of forty-nine years, Martha Lee (nee Dawson) Craft, his beloved daughter Heather Craft and son, Atif Algahtani, both of Fairfax, Virginia; caring brother of Evelyn Smith and Patty Blankenship of Barboursville, West Virginia, and a niece Michelle.

A Celebration of Dr. Gary Craft's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton, West Virginia. Pastor Jim Simmons will officiate.

Private interment will be held in the family cemetery on the farm.
