Frank Ponder, Jr. was born on Sept. 20, 1926 in Seminole County, OK to Lillie and Frank Ponder, the 10th son of 14 siblings. He graduated from Douglas High School of Wewoka, OK. He served in the US Air Force for 30 years and retired as a CMSgt. He met his beloved wife, Christina, while she was working for the USO during WWII in Newark, NJ. The couple was married on April 21, 1946 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. This union lasted 60+ years and resulted in five children, three girls and two boys. He began a 2nd career when he received his Certificate of Ordination on February 24, 1964.

Preceded in death by: his father, mother, 6 brothers, 3 sisters, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, and his beloved wife, Christina.

Survived by: 3 daughters, 2 sons, daughter-in-law, 1 brother, 3 sisters, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services: Monday, 2/26/2007 at the Church of the Living God Temple 290, 555 E. Wilshire, OKC, under the direction of Temple & Sons Funeral Directors, Inc. Interment is in Arlington Memory Gardens.
