Garrett Duane “Alfie” Adair age 82, 1951 West 600 South Portland passed away Monday in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare in Portland. He was born in Jay County February 10, 1935 the son of Marvin and Lula (Lawson) Adair. He was married November 25, 1959 to Judith Ann Smith and she died May 25, 2015. He retired from Indiana Glass and was a farmer. He was a member of Tri State Gas Engine and Tractor Association.
Surviving are a daughter Tina Adair (companion Mark Wendel) of Portland and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Bluff Point Cemetery with Pastor Joe Hines presiding. Memorials can be made to the State of the Heart Hospice. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
