Robert E. Alexander, 73, of 932 West Chapel Rd., Asheville, died Friday, September 29, 2000 at his residence.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Robert B. and Mable Poole Alexander. He was a US Navy Veteran of WW II and a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local Union #487 in Asheville and #421 in Charleston, SC.
Mr. Alexander's survivors include his wife, Barbara Wilson Alexander; sons, Robert David Alexander of Charleston, SC, Matthew Scott Alexander of Asheville; sister, Nancy Monteath of Raleigh; brother, Richard B. Alexander of Welaka, FL; and one grandson.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday at Lewis Memorial Park.
Reverend Jerry Young will officiate.
