SOUTH PARIS — Eleanor "Ellie" Trenoweth Webber Andrews, 98, of South Paris and formerly of the Greenwood Road in Sumner, died Tuesday, June 13, at the Market Square Health Care Center, South Paris, Maine. She was born in Rumford on October 7, 1918, the daughter of John James and Ruth Eleanor (Glover) Trenoweth, and graduated with the Class of 1936 at Stephens High School in Rumford.

Ellie worked in a nursery at the Bisbee School in Rumford and then at the J.A. Thurston Dowel Mill in Hale. She also worked during World War II at the Oxford Paper Mill. She later worked for the Headstart Program as an assistant teacher in Dixfield and for C.B. Cummings Dowel Mill in Norway, then served as a postal clerk in West Sumner, a substitute teacher in East Sumner and later at University of Maine as a nutritional aide in South Paris. She also did volunteer driving for 23 years at Western Maine Transportation until retirement at the age of 82. She was a member of the West Sumner Baptist Church.

Ellie was married to Clarence Runahan, who died in 1940; to Edgley Webber Sr., who died in 1963; and to Richard Andrews, who died in 1996. Survivors include daughters, Ronnieann Runahan Pelletier of Andover, and Phyllis Irene Webber Dillingham of Lewiston; sons, Edgley "Eddie" Webber Jr. of Rumford, Robert Webber of Hilliard, Fla., and Fred, Gary and Alan Webber and wife, Susan, of Sumner; sisters, Harriet Sicotte of Peru, Corinne Ackley of Sumner, Thelma Milligan of Rumford, and Clara Gallant of Mexico; brothers, Norman Trenoweth and companion, Jean, of Canton, and Daniel Trenoweth and wife, June, of Mexico; son-in-law Richard Pelletier of Andover; and sisters-in-law, Jody Trenoweth of Sumner, Laura Trenoweth of Rumford, and Delphia Trenoweth of Buckfield.

She was was predeceased by son, Thomas Clarence Runahan; sister, Louise Turbide; and brothers, Ladner "Bucky" Trenoweth, James "Jimmie" Trenoweth, and William "Willie" Trenoweth.

ANDREWS — Eleanor "Ellie" Trenoweth Webber, 98, of South Paris died Tuesday, June 13. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, at the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., P.O. Box 537, Rumford, ME 04276 with Rev. Dick Wickens officiating. Interment will be at the Elmwood Cemetery on Route 219, East Sumner.
