Claudia E. Eastmond, 61, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at her home.Mrs. Eastmond was born in Red Bank, NJ, on December 15, 1955, daughter of the late Frank and Iva Pennetti Engelmann. She was a founding member of Pink Heals Cape Fear Chapter, a member / volunteer of Lump to Laughter, Pleasure Island Day of Hope, Wrightsboro United Methodist Church (and member of the church), Witty Knitters, and Keansburg United Methodist Church.She is survived by her husband, Howard Eastmond; three sons, Duane Eastmond and wife, Nicole, Ryan Eastmond and wife, Kathleen, and Howard Eastmond, Jr. and wife, Jill; grandchildren, Kayla, Timothy, Ryan, Christopher, Jack, Dillon, Isabella, and Emma; three sisters, Joyce Chappell and husband, Howard, Linda Krochmaluk and husband, Walter, and Eileen Folmer; a brother, Bob Engelmann and wife, Connie; and many extended family and friends who love her dearly. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Engelmann.A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 26, 2017, at Wrightsboro United Methodist Church, 3300 North Kerr Avenue, Wilmington, NC, 28405, (phone: 910-762-2583). The Rev. David Hollowell will officiate.The family will receive friends at the church from 10 am Friday until the service hour.In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Pink Heals Cape Fear Chapter.
