Delton A. Bobo, 68, of N. Davis Street, Keyser, WV, died Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Piney Valley Nursing Home, Keyser, WV.
Born on April 27, 1949 at Keyser, WV, he was a son of Genevieve M. (Roberts) Bobo Hartman of Keyser and late Oscar A. Bobo. He also was preceded in death by his stepfather, Thurman Hartman and his grandparents, Russell and Mae Roberts and Herman and Columbia Bobo.
Mr. Bobo was a 1967 graduate of Keyser High School, gradauted from Potomac State Collage and received his MBA in Business Administration from Frostburgh State College. He was self employed as a genealogical researcher and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was an avid sports fan, especially baseball, with the Baltimore Orioles being his favorite team. Delton thoroughly enjoyed his life and the time he spent with his grandson, Tyler.
Surviving are one daughter, Alysa Metcalf and companion, Jonathan Rosedale of Keyser; a grandson Tyler Metcalf; one stepbrother, Jason Hartman and wife Jessica of Oakland, MD; four sisters, Bonnie Haines and husband David, and Juanita Cosner and husband Lyle, all of Keyser, Kimberly Markworth and husband Jeff of Manti, UT and Paula Knight and husband Bob of Stephen City, VA and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be the Thrush Cemetery, Antioch, WV.
