A graveside service for David Wayne Mitchell, age 61 of Birmingham, will be held in the Ashland City Cemetery on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m..
Mr. Mitchell passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at his home. He was born in Pell City and graduated from Clay County High School in 1973. Mr. Mitchell had lived in Birmingham for over forty years and worked in the internet technology field. He loved traveling, photography and music.
He is survived by his husband, Richard Dowd of Birmingham; his father, Arthur Leon Mitchell of Ashland; three sisters: Sandra Hanner (Bobby) of Lineville, Donna Bennett (Jerry) of Ashland and Sherry Schoggins (George) of Sanford, FL plus a large extended family.
Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene McCain Mitchell.
