ROBERT D. NEWKIRK
Robert D. Newkirk, 48, of 323 White Oak Way, passed away Friday, June 5, 2009 at his home. Robert was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather "Poppy" and was loved by many friends and close relatives.
Born in Terre Haute, IN, he was the son of Julia Sanders of Brazil, IN and the late Robert E. Mahurin. Mr. Newkirk was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith.
Robert shared happiness with his wife of 12 years, Theresa Satterfield Newkirk of the home; daughter: Kimberly Newkirk of Marietta; 3 sons: Christopher Newkirk (Ashley) of Travelers Rest, Bradley Newkirk of Marietta and Edward Ragsdale (Elizabeth) of Travelers Rest; 4 sisters: Donna Eppert (Scotty) of Crawfordville, IN, Barb Talibee (Richard) of Indianapolis, IN, Pam Brown and Linda Kimberly both of Phoenix, AZ; 4 brothers: Jerry Sanders (Jennifer) of Donalds, SC, Kenneth Sanders and Max Sanders (Donna) all of Brazil, IN and Sam Sanders of Lafayette, IN; 2 adopted sisters: Margaret Olvham and Connie Newkirk both of Plant City, FL and 4 grandchildren: Gracie, Nathan, Zachery and Christian.
Robert was the adopted son of the late Harry Denman( #182816758) And Margaret C. Newkirk(#182816554).
