He married Lucinda Basye (1789-1863) on 13 Nov 1813 in Davidson County, TN. She was buried in Eskridge Cemetery, Rutherford County, TN, then reinterred at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens, Mt. Juliet, Wilson, TN (FAG #98170038).

Children: Isaac Newton, Ethelbert B., Joseph T., Amanda Ann, & William Peyton (Also at Mt. Juliet, FAG #98170092)

He was possibly buried in the John Kimbro Cemetery on Pettus Road in Davidson County, TN.
