Tom was born Aug. 26, 1952, in Greensburg, Pa., and came to Texas very soon afterward. He attended public schools in Henderson, Denton and entered the Catholic school system when arriving in Tyler. He graduated from T.K. Gorman High School, attended Tyler Junior College, the University of Dallas and graduated from East Texas State University in Commerce. He was an avid bowler, made many hunting trips with his dad, and excelled in his career as a travel agent while he was employed at Travel Masters.

Survivors include his parents, John and Kathleen Grant; sisters, Shannon King and husband Kevin King, Susanne Davlin and Miguel and Trent Gonzales; and his nephews, Cody Davlin, Ryan Davlin, Hunter Davlin, Matthew Davlin and Travis King.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association; or to Hospice of East Texas.

Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Henderson under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors.

Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Tate, Steve Brown, Sterling Abraham, Doyle Ross and Charlie Norris.
