BROWN, Richard Murray, age 77, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Dianne Chesson; his two sons, Richard Anthony, wife, Kay and Maggie; James Alan, wife, Khadija and Nina; his daughter, Amy Elizabeth, husband, Greg, Sara and Jack. He is also survived by his stepson, Benjamin John, wife, Carolyn; and their daughters, Grace and Claire; and his stepdaughter, Erin Elizabeth, wife, Robin. Mr. Brown attended Lee High School in Staunton, Va., graduated from Dunsmore Business College, served in the U.S. Navy and was a State Trooper serving on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, before retiring from the Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Board as a Special Agent in Richmond, after a lifetime of service to the state of Virginia. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 2401 E. Broad St., at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2016, There will be a reception on the church grounds following the service.
