He was born July 26, 1945 in Paulding, the son of the late Steve and Doris (Saxton) Baksa. On June 15, 1980 he married Barbara Wilhelm, who passed away September 21, 2016. Howard was a 1964 graduate of Blue Creek High School, served two years in the U.S. Army as a military police stationed in Wurzburg, Germany. He retired from B.F. Goodrich, Woodburn, after 42 years. He loved to fish at the lake, garden and can vegetables, and was a fantastic cook. Howard had a big, kind heart, loved to have fun, and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his brother, Roger Baksa; step-son, Tobin Doster; nieces; nephews; and his dog, Ginger.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Wilson, step-son, Alex Doster.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 11 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Burial in St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding, Ohio with military graveside rites accorded by VFW Post #587.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, April 10 at Den Herder Funeral Home. There will also be visitation on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations made to "House of Love Ministries" or Ronald McDonald House.
