Jerry Dean Beard, 55, of Lynchburg passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born November 18, 1961, in Lynchburg, he was the son of Clyde Wesley Beard and Hazel Campbell Beard.
Jerry was a skilled carpenter for C.L. Lewis Corporation. He was a loving son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was always there to lend a hand and help anyone in need. He was outgoing and always made everyone laugh.
In addition to his parents, Jerry is survived by his children Kerri Beard Graber (Brad) of Virginia Beach, Jeffrey Beard (Bridgette Lyons) of Rustburg and Derek Beard of Lynchburg; three siblings, Linda Beard (Ricky Bailess) of Goode, Kenneth Beard (Becky) of Concord and Glenn Beard (Brenda) of Temple, TX; two grandchildren, Kiley Graber and Blaine Graber; two nieces, Kim Spears and Amber Spears; and two nephews, Sean Dunn and Dakota Spears.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Gary Moore officiating.
The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2017, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
