Frances was born at home at 888 Clinton Street in Buffalo, New York to Frank Maciejewski and Frances Dubel. Fran was called Fanny by the immediate family. Otherwise Frances was known as Fran or Frannie. She married John Schemel on June 13, 1953. Together they raised their children John, Robert, James and Mary.
Fran was a Mom and claimed she never retired. But she would not have it any-other way. Fran was devoted to her husband and children.
She was a member of the Catholic Church and lived in the Tri-Cities of Washington for 41 years.
Fran enjoyed travelling, especially cruising on the Holland, America Cruise Line; reading; and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She was also a wonderful cook and baker.
Fran was preceded in death by per parents, Frank and Frances Maciejewski; her husband, John; children, Helen and Richard; and grandson, John Henry III.
She was inurned on May 21, 2018 in St John the Baptist Cemetery in Alden, New York. It was a beautiful Spring day with lots of sunshine.
