Nancy is the daughter of Joseph G. and Zilliah Brunk Powell. She was born, raised and lived most of her life in Lincoln County, Missouri. Only in her later years did she move in with her daughters.
She married James T. Gililland, son of John Richardson and Elizabeth Presley Gililland on March 16, 1859 in Lincoln County, Missouri. James and Nancy settled on a farm and were blessed with five girls.
There is no record or headstone for Nancy being buried at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, but I know for sure she is there. My mother, Nancy's Granddaughter, was there the day they buried her.
