Age 88 of Nashville. January 28, 2007. She was born on August 10, 1918 in McCracken, AR. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gilbert Speck Rhodes; sister, Norma Finley. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Mary Ann Rhodes of Brentwood, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Bonya and Gene McGarrity of Colorado Springs, CO; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Susan Rhodes of Nashville, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Brent Steelman of Nashville, TN; 12 grandsons; 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Jackson Park Church of Christ in Nashville, TN for 40 years, active in the Red Hat Society, Y.M.C.A., Craft and Garden Club. She was an avid quilt collector who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home today, from 6-8 p.m..
