Earnest "Cade" Hendrix, Jr, 73, of Phenix City, AL passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 peacefully in the care of his family.

Mr. Hendrix was born August 21, 1943 in Phenix City, AL to the late Earnest Cade Hendrix SR. and Lillian Ruby Hammond Hendrix.

He was a retired cabinet builder for Phillips Cabinets in Columbia, GA. He enjoyed family, wood working, crossword puzzles, sports and bird watching. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Hunter Eppihimer.

He is survived by his children, Deb Morris (Michael) of Opelika, AL, Dana Rowe of White Stone, VA, Earnest "Cade" Hendrix III (Lori) of Phenix City, AL, and Deanne Silverdahl (Chris) of Opelika, AL, a long time friend, Faye Ferrell; five grandchildren, Meagan Patel (Kris), Justin Wood (Ashley), Holly Eppihimer, Perrin Nicolson (Kendall), and CJ Rodgers, two precious great grandchildren, Drew and Bentley, numerous other loving family members and many caring friends.

Daddy never met a stranger; he loved everyone unconditionally, and he will be greatly missed, yes indeed.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, January 27, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. EST at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City, Alabama. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held privately with family.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Alabama Kidney Foundation at www.alkidney.org.
